While many other patients had issues requiring a new hip prothesis, our patient required the adjustment of a previous one. After long research, we discovered the problem with our patient wasn’t evident in the patient profile but rather in the x ray.

This experience taught me an important lesson about biomedical engineering. As much as this area is logically and mechanically based on devices, it is also a biomedical field meaning the patient body itself is also just as important.
